Poor wifi coverage with thick walls

Hi, I've recently got Sky Full Fibre Broadband (alongside Sky Stream) and, while I've got good coverage in the living room (and the rooms above it), as soon as the signal passes through the (thick) walls in my house it loses coverage very quickly (my home office is around 5 metres diagonally above the router, and I'm currently struggling to do Teams calls because the coverage is so patchy, which defeats the point of getting FTTP somewhat!).  I also have a few issues with the kitchen which is two rooms away from the router.  

I've read that getting a mesh set up with Sky doesn't work (as the hub can't be converted from a router to a modem).  And I thought a powerline option might be good given the thick walls, but assume I can't do a mesh powerline option?

I'm not tech savvy at all, so any recommendations on products or set up really would be appreciated.  I don't really know where to start!

@Anfield1979 no wifi device is going to work that well if your home has solid walls its simply down to the laws of physics. Powerline may work as it uses the home's mains wiring to carry the signal to more distant parts of the house. For Sky Stream connecting the pucks by ethernet to the powerline adapters is probably the best solution. 

If deciding to try powerline buy the kit online as in a few homes the wiring is not suitable so if your home is one of those the units can go back. Always use wall sockets for the adapters not trailing sockets and plan on getting around 20 to 40% of the rated speed. I used Devolo units myself but they are not cheap TP-Link are also a good brand.
