Poor WiFi after upgrade
Hi, I recently upgraded to gigabit and after the installation the speeds and stability of the WiFi is extremely poor despite apparent good speeds to the property. My partner and I work from home regularly and I've tried resetting multiple times and not sure what else to do. I don't trust the readings of 700mbps.

Re: Poor WiFi after upgrade
@James353 how are you measuring speeds? If over wifi it is highly likely that thecwifi speed is the issue rather than the fibre connection. If possible run a test over ethernet with nothing else connected you should see a speed test result of 900Mb/s assuming the device used has a gigabit Ethernet port.
In almost every home you will need more than a single free router from an ISP to get high wifi speeds in every room but before spending money considercwhat speeds you need as almost no app either for work or leisure can use more than 100Mb/s downloads are faster with higher speeds but consider how much thst is worth to you.
If you havecthe black Sky hub that should deliver 650Mb/s over WiFi in the room it is in but speeds will drop if you are in more distant rooms how much speed you lose depends on the type of construction of your home and its layout. The newer white Sky Max hub will deliver close to the full 900Mb/s to devices running WIFi 6 but again those speeds will drop the further you are from the hub.
Sky can sell you their WiFi Max bundle which promises at least 25Mb//s in every room or a refund see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or you can do as I do myself which is to buy a whole home WiFi set up and use that instead.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode
