We recently upgraded to sky full fibre when our standard sky broadband was becoming less reliable. Sky full fibre is much worse as the signal is poor and the Wi-Fi continuously drops out. We are unable to watch any television programmes via an app (Netflix, Disney, sky cinema). I have tried the online diagnostics and keep going round in circles with no success.
Can someone please advise? I resent having to buy boosters, having already increased my monthly payments for what is a worse service. There is also no guarantee that they will work.
Thanks.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@MarkBaker the wifi signal in your home is beyond Sky's control and speeds are not guaranteed unless you buy either the Broadband Boost bundle in which case they guarantee a minimum of 3Mb/s in every room or tge new Wifi Max bundle where the guarantee 25Mb/s if you are on Ultrafast. Wifi speeds depend on the layout, type of construction and level of interference in your home. Small flats can be as challenging as large detached houses.
You can do a biit to improve wifi speeds yourself. Basic steps are doing things like making sure the hub is in the open and above things like radiators as these block the signal and making sure no other wireless devices are near the hub.
The two bundles mentioned above includecthe potential to get "boosters" from Sky but you can buy third pparty kit if you want as many people do. Strreaming video as you want does not require high speeds (UHD sport which is the most demanding content uses roughly 15Mb/s on average) but does require good signal quality so interference from neighbouring networks or from electrical equipment can ruin your viewing..
This is where Whole Home Wifi systems can be a good investment as they create a wifi mesh which sacrifices some speed for far greater reliability. These need not be that expensive but given Sky charge £10 per month for their Wifi Max solution which does potentially include up to 3 pods which create a mesh network within the 18 month contract you could instead buy a decent home wifi system. The easiest to configure are those that offer an Access Point mode you simply turn off the hub's wifi and use the wifi from your own kit.

Is that FTTP or FTTC (property or outside cabinet)? How recent have you changed over?
Have you checked the speed at fast.com via a wired laptop or desktop computer (not via WiFi) to rule out an issue with the BB speed to the property?
Measuring speed over WiFi is always subject to too many variables.
