Plugging Router Into Secondary Socket
I recently moved into a new property and I've had Sky Broadband installed. My primary phone socket is in the hall but I have a secondary socket in the living room where I would like to have my router. The router connects no problem in the primary socket but won't work on the secondary one. Is it possible to have my router running on the living socket? If so do I need any additional equipment?

Re: Plugging Router Into Secondary Socket
Assuming the master socket is filtered, ie has separate connections for phone & internet, then it needs to be rewired to allow data on the extension. By defaults, data is blocked (filteres) from extensions as you've found. YouTube will probably provide a video of what you need to do.
