Phone Line Question

I am currently with VirginMedia, I pay for broadband and line rental.
If I move over to to Sky do I have to take line rental as well? I was hoping to cancel everything with VM as I never use the landline, but will that actually cancel my phone line that is needed for the Sky Broadband?

Thank you.

Sky does "pay as you talk" without line rental. No calls = no money

Sky, like most ISPs, now bundles the 'line rental' element into the monthly broadband subscription.  That's different to a voice call bundle.
