Permanently slower speeds than those guaranteed

Hello,

 Does anyone know what happens if our broadband speeds are permanently below the guaranteed speed stated. Do we receive any compensation even though we are out of contract and now  paying double the price for half the speed other internet companies offer. Difficult to speak with Sky people, just end up on their bot which leads to nowhere.

@Tc40 & @Ian4591 if you problem is with the speed to your hub being below the guaranteed speed set for your line for 3 days and you are in a fixed contract period Sky will refund one months payment see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-broadband-speed-guarantee

If Openreach cannot improve the speed to the guarantee  Sky will release you from contract which only helps if you can use a different connection than the Openreach line.

However that only applies to the speed to the hub which you can check in the Service Checker in the My Sky app if you click on the link by the last speed you will see thecresults for the last month and the guaranteed speed fir your line. If tgst is not your issue then its likely to be tgecwifi speeds in your homecwhich is not covered by the same guarantee instead see here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-broadband-speed-guarantee which has some important caveats.

@Ian4591 @Tc40

The 'guarantee' is of a small refund and release from contract, not the speed itself because particularly for copper lines that's not actually under the control of the ISP.
