Wi-Fi speed

Apparently I am on the fastest speed available, in my contract it states the following:

minimum download speed - 780.0Mbps mine is 42.5Mbps

minimum upload speed - 85.0Mbps mine is 32.0Mbps

can you please check this as I went on the fastest speed for a reason and its way below 100 let alone 780!

I look forward to hearing from you. Mark

@MarkLancett it is quite common to have the fastest connection toma hub but speed tests run on a device connected by WiFi gives far lower figures simply because you are measuring the speed of the wifi connection in the room the device is in. To reliably test a high speed full fibre connection you have to run the test on a device connected by a gigabit Ethernet connection.

Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a fast wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. Assuming the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surfsce then the only answer is additional wifi sources.

Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi.
