Paying exit fee to previous provider

Having just moved to Sky, my previous provider is charging an Exit Fee.

Sky said they'd cover up to £200 to move - is this paid direct to previous provider, or do I have to claim somewhere ?

@Norster You would be responsible for paying the fee's, then you can make a claim for those fee's via the Sky switch credit offer https://www.sky.com/help/articles/switching-credit-offer Sky can't pay it directly to your old provider as that would mean being given details of your account and that is against GDPR.

Re: Paying exit fee to previous provider

Do you know if Sky covers the full Exit Fee, or will they take off the small broadband refund, and pay the net amount ?

@Norster  Sky will cover upto £200 of a broadband termination fee and upto a £100 of a tv termination fee anything over these amounts is your responsibility to cover

Re: Paying exit fee to previous provider

Hi - I appreciate that, but my Exit Fee is £111.70, but there is a small refund of £6.20 to me.

Will Sky pay £111.70, or £105.50 ?

@Norster The Final amount you paid out to switch minus anything that sky does not agree with on the final bill, you do not get to gain from the switch, and until sky see the final bill they may not agree with all the charges on it!
