Hello,
I've ordered the new Sky max pods, as my old Sky WiFi extender 4, was incompatible with my new Sky Max hub. All the lights were on, but the wifi became worse with the likes of my Ring Camera etc. I have the main Sky Q box and a mini box in the other room. My question is, is there any point having the old extender on still when I have the new Sky max pods? Or shall I just use the new pods only?
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Mick128 only if you have Sky Q boxes as it can help, connect Sky Q minis. That extender is incompatable with the new hub.

Cheers Chrisee. So basically keep my old extender on to help with my Sky Q box and then place the new pods in the areas that need it, but in range with the new hub?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Mick128 are you sure you are getting multiple pods as normally Sky only send out one and you need a visitvfrom an engineer before more are authorised.
The pods need a good backhaul connection to the hub so should be placed roughly halfway between where you need ghe boost and the hub. Only tge main Q box connects to the hub (occasionally you can change thst to a Q mini) and the Q minis connect to the main Q box via you booster. Having both networks can cause interference butvtge Max hub seems able to sort that.itself.

Ok thanks for the advice.
I spoke to them on the phone and they are sending one pod out in the post. I should only need the one to get my devices back to what they were. There is no engineer coming.
