Optical Network Terminal

We are shortly being changed over to full fibre. We were sent a 'kit' supposedly to get up and running. In only contained an Ethernet cable.

whilst we are in possession of most of the kit, it didn't include an Optical Network Terminal. When I phoned Sky, they said our old on would be compatible. It bears no resemblance to our 6 year old terminal.
have I been given the correct information?IMG_0685.jpegIMG_0686.jpeg

The ont is installed by openreach usually on the day of activation.  The ethernet (conversion kit) will plug into the lan port of the ont and the lan 4 port on your sky hub

That's a master socket for a copper (VDSL) connection: it's rendered obsolete by a full fibre broadband circuit.
