BT Openreach attended to upgrade me to Fibre (I live in a very old house and was having constant issues with the internet dropping out on the copper lines, so SKY suggested Fibre)
The engineer came and has installed my router on top of my microwave and and the Fibre box right next to it, so now when I cook the router and Fibre box get soaked in condensation and when I use the microwave I get electrical interference and the WiFi goes in and out.
This to me is a totally unacceptable location to have installed things, and is electrially unsafe? To top it off, my kitchen is out the back so now I don't get strong enough signal to use WiFi properly upstairs or in my living room. SKY are dragging their feet and won't agree to have the router moved right now, all they're doing is sending me a WiFi Booster - but to me, the location of the router is the fundamental issue as it's unsafe? Surely they should agree to move it Free of Charge?!

I suspect their argument would be that the location was agreed at time of installation.
You'll need to persist with Sky to book an ONT relocation (for which they'll want to charge a fee)

I didn't really agree to the location though, the Openreach engineer basically refused to put it anywhere else due to other locations needing to be cabled to, which I thought was part of their job... 😞

The limitations on ONT location are the placement of the external CSP, the length of the standard fibre pigtail cable and the need for mains sockets for ONT and router.
Yours does sound particularly unsuitable though: microwave ovens and WiFi really aren't compatible. I think you'll need to pursue a complaint with Sky (perhaps on safety grounds) to get the situation reviewed by Openreach.
