The broadband connection was booked for 19th of July, the sky technician completed the internal part, but Openreach have failed twice now th materialise.
I work from home, and my current contract cancels on the 26th, and sky/openreach have still failed to materialise!
i will start loosing money from Friday, if Openrach do not finish the installation.
Reading the orther comments, this seems to be quite normal, wish i had known this before swapping to Sky.

Unfortunately by definition you'd face the same issue with any other Openreach ISP.
Have you had any indication of the external work which is required?
Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker may provide some clues.

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

I've got a similar issue. Had text from Sky and BT Yesterday saying the Kelly Group will be coming to install Super fast Fibre today between 8am and 1pm. This date was pre-arranged so I took a day's leave and today i have been sat patiently waiting for a knock at the door, 1pm came and went. No texts - nada.
Eventually got through to Sky after a 20 minute wait. Told that they didn't have any update from BT about a delay and to sit tight (which I am happy to do) - but also said that BT Openreach have 3 working days to inform Sky if they (or one of their sub-contractors) fails to turn up. In the mean time I just need to wait.

Thanks for that. There's no actual date on the display. But at least my address shows some sort of action.
Trouble is, sky said it would all be running by week end. Do openreach text/email me before they plan on doing the installation? They do not require access to my building as the works are from a pole to the box on my external wall.

If they don't need access then there probably won't be any communication from Openreach at all.

Thanks for that. I've not even had a text from BT, nothing. I phoned sky and my cat was more helpful!
I'm going to contact them again tomorrow morning.

Find out moreRealistically with Openreach carrying out something like 60,000 FTTP activations a week (and needing to hit 80,000 a week to meet their target of 80% coverage by the end of 2026) it only takes a small percentage of missed visits to inconvenience a great many ISP customers.

Overhead work does often require cherry picker availability (sometimes with traffic control) and can also be affected by issues such as trees in the way or pole loading.

Good point. Although there are no trees in-between me and the pole, it is across the other side of the street. It still beggars belief that they make all these promises, I need the internet for work, I'm knackered within it!

Been seven days now since the sky tech installed the internal equipment and the box on the outside wall. Still no sign of an openreach installation person. I loose my broadband on original Sunday, and I'll be knackered. I work from home a few days a week, so I'll start loosing money. The promise it would be installed, and have not delivered.

Open reach and Sky engineer have now failed to turn up on 4 different dates, all taken as holidays, and Sky do absolutely nothing, Dates of 11th Sept, 23rd September, 7th October and again now 14th October, as text reads now will be 5th December, open reach have lied on at least 3 different documents, stating they have been here and discussed issues with me liers, sky take the money and do nothing pathetic.
