Openreach appointment

I have received messages from a number who claimed they are Openreach. They said they will send an engineer to me on the day of activation but according to Sky I do not need an engineer as I can activate the broadband remotely. So is this number legit please?

Re: Openreach appointment

@tytsz Yes, what is it that you are getting done! If OR are reaching out to connect you then that is what you are having something that is required, You can take care off all the inside, but if you have no active line then you have nothing!

If you are not sure what you are getting, then call sky, miss the OR Engineer or ignore any request you just may not get connected!

Re: Openreach appointment

Thank you. As I thought I can activate the broadband remotely, I am not at home during the period the engineer has appointed to visit me. Can I change the time? They seemed not to read the message I sent.

Re: Openreach appointment

@tytsz Yes you can do whatever, but that has to be done by sky not the reply to the OR text, just be aware that changing may push you back anyware upto 21 day's or the next available time slot for Engineer. As said NO one knows what you are getting done on this Forum!

There is NO method off you doing a remote activation!
