Hi
I have waited a month for Fibre to be installed in my new house. Unfortunatley, the Sky engineer was unable to get a connection to the internet. He still had no joy after changing all the cables on his end. He said there must be a problem with the work that openreach had carried out i.e. running a cable from the telegraph pole , down the side of the house to an external box on the wall.
This was on Friday 10th Mar. He contacted openreach at the time and he would then have to send the details off to them.
I have a photography business and need to upload photos to clients regularly so have to go to my parents house 30 mins away to do this.
Does anybody know what my options are as I have heard nothing from either Sky or openreach about solving this?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Anonymous you are buying a service over domestic connection from Sky which is cheaper than business connections as Openreach have a lower SLA of fixes within 2 working days so not surprising a fault reported on Friday has not been fixed over the weekend. Thst you choise to use that connection for your business is your affair but doesn't increase the priority.

Have you tried to give Sky a call and ask for an update?

Thanks for that Chrisee.
I knew it was a bit optimistic to hope for a solution within a couple of days. Just annoyed I had to wait a month and then it didn't happen.
Wrong use of words in my post. It is a photography hobby done in my own time.
Will I qualify for the Automatic Compansation scheme from Sky even though it is an openreach problem?

Hopefully, yes, either as delayed activation or loss of service.
