Open reach ONT Fault

The LOS light on my Openreach ONT box is solid red. This has caused the connection to the internet to drop off. I had an engineer come yesterday to replace an Ethernet cable for a fault I've been having this week, but I'm not sure if it is related at all.

@JackRoberts If it was RED when the Engineer was there at the time, replacing the Ethernet cable on a RED LOS would have done nothing, your Fibre has NO light and you will not have any Broadband connection with that fault!

Hi, it wasn't red when the engineer came, I had a flashing green light on the wifi hub. The red light has gone now but the green light I had on the wifi hub has come back, so still no internet and I'm back to where I started before the engineer arrived.

Re: Open reach ONT Fault

@JackRoberts Three Green on your ONT, Power and Pon solid green that is what you want, Lan flashes as data is sent back and forth,.

Sky hub authenticates against it and connects, if not power down you sky hub for 10 minutes, back on and watch the hub power up and connect light sequence!

This link providers information about the coloured lights on the various hubs

Other way round: the Loss Of Signal LED is telling you the external connection over the fibre-optic cable isn't there.

No, ethernet doesn't have anything to do with LOS.
