One Touch not working during switch
Have been with Virgin Media for over 25 years but decided to switch to Sky as my broadband supplier. When I contacted Sky, I was told that Sky would take care of notifying VM I was leaving them.
However, on the day of the switch, (7th November) the Sky engineer who came to my home discovered I had no Open Reach cable coming to my home. Had to wait a month for Open Reach to come to fit one and then my newxSky router was activated on 9th December.
Now, nearly 3 weeks later, VM are telling me I am still THEIR customer as they have had NO NOTIFICATION from Sky about the switch. They wouldn't take my word for it that I'd switched on 9th December and said I still have to pay my next bill to them on 29th December until Sky formally notify them I'm now a Sky customer. I rang Sky and they said they now can't do this and would send me a paper copy of my contract with Sky (they aren't allowed to send it by email!) and that I have to photograph it and email it to VM myself.
So much for the "one tiuch" promise where Sky take care of all of this. It's now down to ME to prove to VM that I'm no longer a customer of their's, and until I can do so, they're NOT releasing me from my contract with them and expect me to keep paying them.
Am so bloody annoyed it's now ME who has to sort all this out 😡
