On Openreach all lights are green but no wifi on SKY Max Hub

On Openreach all lights are green, setup done as SKY mentioned, but on Max Hub a green light is slowly blinking. No solid white light yet, still no wifi. How can we solve this?

It seems to be many users have the same problem, I might switch the company to Virgin or BT without using it.

@Theschen

This explains the lights on the hubs:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/hub-lights-explained-start

Try running the line test here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

If this is of no help give Sky a call to report it to them.

Yup. Same issue. Am sorry but you'll be given lots of 'solutions' as to how to fix it here. None will work as it's a physical issue with the Openreach service. They will lie, send an engineer (or not, it depends) and tell you it's your build that needs fixing. And you'll need another visit to sort it. Really sorry but the issue you're experiencing, I'm having the exact same problem, will take ages to fix while Sky blame Openreach and Openreach say it's Sky. Best of luck.. you're in for a rough ride

@SpaRhawKk thst is a very pessamistic view and oesnt represent most people's experience including my own. In practice things can break and need repsiting and they can becdifficult to find.

@Theschen Where the ONT has no warning lights there is a connection from the exchange to the ONT however the hub is not connecting to Sky's servers.  These faults are fairly uncommon but simply powering down the hub for an hour can often sort the issue if it is a singly dodgy server port - Sky have well over 6 million ports. .

If thst doesnt work call Sky as their network team will have to check the system. If it is a widespred issue like a fault on the link from an exchange then the service checker in the My Sky app may well tell you they are already working on it..

It's not a 'view'. It's based on personal experience as the exact same thing is happening right now. Your advice to 'just call sky and they'll fix it' is not what is happening. I have the same issue. Sky have washed their hands of it. It's Openreach. But you seem to know better.

Re: On Openreach all lights are green but no wifi on SKY Max Hub

@caesarome Thanks a lot for your guidance, I' ve tried these many times and also reported to SKY, they told me that they will call and update us on this Friday (05.09.2025) but nobody called us.

The wifi needed to start on 2nd Sept. Would it be possible to switch so early to another provider? How can we cancel the agreement with SKY? If I agree with another provider, it will automatically be transformed to new one?

By unfortunate I' ve also bought the SKY TV. Does it function without the broadband?

So many questions 😃
