Not getting what I was promised
I have been nothing but dossapointed since this box was installed.
The installation took ages and I was told there werr lots of problems that pushed the installation back for a month.
The main reason I got Fibre optic was for gaming...
I was promised a minimum of 400mbps
Upon testing the connections to my console I have never had above 40mbps which is incredibly disappointing and leaves me wondering why I bothered to upgrade for the same mbps I was getting for half the price.
This needs to be resolved.
I even find myself struggling to get good wifi on my phone and loading times are frustrating.
I am incredibly disappointed.
Please resolve this.

Re: Not getting what I was promised
@Pop734 your issue sounds like poor wifi in your home while full fibre will improve speed to the hub it often makes no difference to the wifi speeds in your home. 40Mb/s though should be ample for online gaming downloads will take longer but actual game play requires minimal bandwidth. However poor wifi is often affected by interference causing packet loss which kills the gaming experience.
The answer is to improve connectivity in your home. Ideally you always want to use ethernet cables to connect games consoles as that is immune from interference and can deliver the full speed the hub receives. However that can be practically impossible in many homes a good second choice is powerline networking whereas pair of adapters send tgecsignal over the mains wiring. In practice you normally get roughly 30% of thecrated output so a system rated at 2Gb/s should give you the full bandwidth.
Sky can sell you a wifi system https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max that guarantees 25Mb/s in every room in your home, Sky can give upto 3 extenders to achieve that, for monthly cost of around £8 a month (price can vary according to which agent tou buy from). However you may find buying your own WiFi equipment is a better choice there is a wide choice. If you choose a system which works in Access Point mode one unit connects to your Sky hub, which has its wifi turned off, by ethernet and connects to as many satellite units as yout home needs my home has 3 levels so a 3 unit system. Few if anyone needs 400Mb/s in every room as most apps cant use 100Mb/s but a decent mesh wifi system is far more stable and should easily give speeds well over 100Mb/s in every room .
