Not getting the speeds Im paying fo

 on gigga fast but only reserving 290-330mbp

I'm doing a speed test stood next to the router and only reserving these speeds

As with all broadband, you're 'paying for' speed delivered to the router from the internet, not speed over WiFi from the router to client devices.

 

299Mbs would be a good wireless speed for an 802.11ac ('WiFi 5') device.

@Jp15 You would need both a Wifi 6 router and device to  get 900Mb/s over wifi. The new Sky Wifi Max hub is a Wifi 6 unit but costs an extra £7.50 a month or you could splash out on a third party router but before doing so consider which if any apps you use can use let alone need such speeds. Most apps need well under 100Mb/s.

If you test over a gigabit ethernet cable connection you should see 900Mb/s.
