On a business-grade optical leased-line there's also a clear demarcation point between the national network and the subscribing companies own routing hardware: the Openreach optical fibre terminates onto one of these, which the router then plugs into:

That's because Virgin only supplies connectivity to Virgin subscribers, while Openreach has hundreds of ISP business as customers.
