Update

 

No call from BT.. rang sky.. the same as usual .. told my case is very complicated and they cannot tell me if its going to be weeks.. months.. they did mention that it could be down to old copper wires/rust.. he sent me link regarding compensation that will be added to account next month.. unfortunately it's just a waiting game. Its ridiculous.

@Sarah544 From any engineers visit to the home, have thet tested the line and said to you fault is at x Point, if you are on a copper line anything can be wrong anywhere and if no spare cores for an engineer to play with then they really have no where to go, but should have explained that to you. What speed package are you on if you know, the standards are fttc 80/20 or 40/10Mb/s speed's after that 20Mb/s ADSL if not on a fttc connection!

No internet or landlines from 01/10

I didnt have any internet or landline from 01/10 uptill 11/11. I cancelled only because i didnt have any service. I was happy with services up till now. I have had 2 engineer vists and new moderm.. countless telephone calls told to wait 72 hours.... was told about auto-compensation and also sent document from advisor. I have had to purchase a sim card for my mother who is vulnerable to make calls and use my own mobile data to watch tv. I am now being told that i am not eligible because you only pay till the issue is 'fixed' .... im sorry but how long can a person wait for services?! I think i have been patient enough and now to be scrutinised for cancelling, i find it quite appalling. Evey advisor i have spoken to has told me different... i was told last Saturday i was being send a form to complete.. still yet to receive... called today to be told no because you cancelled and didnt give us time to fix the issue you arent eligible... i explained the previous "manager" did agree i was eligible. I called back again and asked ok, if i was to retun to sky and you cannot provide my services for my phone and wifi how would that work.. oh they would jnstall a new line.. so please explain to me Sky, why wasnt a new line fitted within the 30 days i went without service????? I am disgusted
