So have a Sky router and Sky Q box. WiFi connectivity works fine albeit slow. My ethernet connectivity does not work and Windows reports and unrecognised network with no internet.
Tried the obvious things like turning off the router no joy and connected deviced like my PC and printer etc on the ethernet network do not work.
Any pearls of wisdom appreciated

@Chris+Wood Do any of the connecting devices router/pc/printer ports have led status indicators etc.
Once connected BOTH ends the led's colours etc can be an aid. Which sky router do you have, have you tried connecting the Q box via ethernet, Ethernet cable does it have all 8 pins connected required for GByte speeds on ethernet wiring. Are you using only one cable for this test or multiple etc. Are you on a fttp connected router, if so then there is already a ethernet connection working on your router.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Chris+Wood is this a direct cable from the PC to the Sky hub? If so check that the cable is fully wired with all 8 corse. Sky hubs default to Gigabit speeds but should fallback to Fast Ethernet (100Mb/s) if thst is the speed of the port on the device but some older units may have an issue in which case you can switch the hub to only offer Fast Ethernet.
If you are using powerline adapters or tge like check they are properly configured.

I have the same issue here, just swapped to Sky and it doesn't like either of my laptops (both dell). My TV etc though can connect fine.
Have you tried hard wiring your Sky Q box to the router to make sure that can connect ok? Would rule out a general router fault.

Update to my last - I've just spoken with the Sky helpdesk, they ran through the usual cables, settings etc. then mentioned they have a built in firewall/antivirus software package running in the background. they switched it off (I have own software) and the internet appeared. Appears to have solved my problem - would guess the two firewalls didn't like talking to each other, so could be the same with your issue.

Hi all thanks for feedback and advice... slightly embarrassing to sai have found the fault and me plugging in a cable on my Ethernet switch and then looping it back to the same switch 🤨 so after rectifying the issue and several restarts its burst into life 😊👌 thanks again all 👍
