No connection to sky hub

No connection to sky hub 

No known issues in the area 

Mixture of light for internet being Amber and not on 

Raised with Sky and they said they will have an engineer out in 6 days 

I have a baby whose baby monitor relies on the internet and my partner works from home. We have no internet or tv as a result. 

unplugged and turned everything on and off numerous times. No damage to cables etc 

 

any other ideas?

@WalkerBoh unforunately you will have to wait on the engineer. You are buying a domestic connection and that your husband uses that for work is his choice but gives no priority. You should be accumulating compensation as explained here . Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com.

 

Regarding the baby monitor if it is required due to a health condition it should have a back-up sim card.  Otherwise unfortunately like many devices that require an internet connection to work without a local fall back you have discovered the drawback.  Occasional loss of internet connection is a fact of life. This is  especially true at night as network operators have to take down connections to maintain kit this work is done between midnight and 5am.

@WalkerBoh Not really looks like you went through all the steps and the light is telling you what is going on, could be anything that is wrong!

Ah I have just gone through checks again and there's an outage in the area.

@WalkerBoh That will be the cause then and why you either have an amber or no internet light on the HUB, area faults can be anything from someone cutting through a cable, smashing into a pole wiping out all the connections etc etc on and on....

 

Just leave the hub on and connected, when OR fix the fault the hub should auto reconnect and go green again!👍
