No account number??

How is it possible I don't have an account number when I have signed up for brodband and got an activation date?

I need this as I can't ever get through on the phone lines to need to ask why my activtion date is 22 days away.

Frustrated to say the least...

Why do you say you have no account number, if you have placed an order then any emails or letters from Sky would usually contain this and if for some reason itdoesn't you would need to call them to find out what it is.

When I signed up in the middle of November I also received no order number or account number. The day after activation I received details of the first interim bill, but again with no details whatsoever. An account number only appeared on the actual bill. All a bit odd.

 

Sky seem to work on a combination of postcode & the credit card used to pay the £5 deposit when ordering. To be fair, on the few occasions I did need to call, my account was quickly identified.

Ten working days lead time plus what's effectively a ten day holiday period?
