No WiFi signal in room 2

We are having repeated trouble with no WiFi in room 2 where my desk PC is. This is an ongoing problem and we have had a engineer out to look at this. We followed all instructions given but are experiencing issues on a daily basis. The message on my PC displays- No DHCP server was found. The network connection quality might be low.

we pay for the high rate of internet connection but are not receiving it. We had the same issues with our daughters bedroom upstairs but you rectified this by sending out a booster plug which is plugged in upstairs but the downstairs room 2 is still non functional.. please advise on this matter? Kindest regards Mrs O'Kane

@Deb133 the "no DHCP" messge means the PC has lost connection to your Sky hub. WiFi signals have limited ability to pass through solid objects like walls and in some homes with solid internal walls it is difficult to get a usable signal in every room. The older yhe property the more likely this is an issue. Sky will offer you extenders if you buy their WiFi Max psckage which it sounds like you have  but these have limited use in older properties as the boosters need a good wifi connection back to the hub to work.

There is a technology you can buy which should work which is powerline networking thst uses adapters that use the mains cabelling to senf data between themselves. Installing one by plugging into a wall socket nearthe hub and connecting it by an ethernet cable. The second is plugged into the wall near the PC and ideally linked by ethernet. I used this technology myself when working from home.

Re: No WiFi signal in room 2

@Deb133 If it is sky Max that you have then you need to call sky again, there is NO other way to do it for further pods to be supplied and ordered!
