No Ont box
Hi Folks, I'm a new Sky Broadband customer. I have no ONT box in the house, only a telephone connection box. The previous owner had Sky so it may the phone box is what I need to use. Would this be correct or do I need an ONT box? I've connected to the phone box with the Router. I have green light for power and WiFi but no Internet or voice. Today is my connection day, and I understand it can take up to midnight to connect Internet. What type of phone should I buy and can I phone out and receive calls, and where do I get my phone. Apologies for so many questions, am an absolute Sky newbie but computer saavie. Hope someone in Skyland can help.
Many thanks in anticipation.
Bill

Re: No Ont box
Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which provisioning type is applicable.

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

Could you enter your full address below and post the table and notes after removing your address from the image

Any normal analogue telephone handset or DECT base would be appropriate: what you don't want is a 'digital' or 'VOIP' phone. By default you'd be provisioned on Sky Talk Pay as you Talk which accepts incoming calls but with rather a high pence-per-minute charge for outbound.
