No Internet

I have no Internet connection and the light isn't on. But when i run a service checker everything says OK?

Same in Bolton. Sky customer services are appalling, one reply said they tried to call me but they didn't, another reply said my line checks were fine.... absolute joke they are.

It seems to be a DNS error. If you change to Google DNS 8.8.8.8 the internet will work.

Sky have said they got to wait for open reach and he said to check on the app but app says all ok. So they seem confused

About two weeks ago we had an issue with the fibre cabinet outside. A DSLAM went down and a load of us in the same area lost connection completely. Openreach replaced it and it's been fine for a few weeks. However now having issues again. All seems a bit odd.

I've got engineer coming out Wednesday for myself but I've explained it all over but I've booked it incase. They are unaware of the issue so it might be worth giving sky a call to let them know that your broadband is down it could take a while for it to be up and running again
