Sky credit paying for wifi, no idea where it has come from
I set up sky ultrafast broadband in august for my flat and set up a direct debit. I realised now in October that I haven't been charged again since the first month. When I logged in to check the bills in my account incase I should have been paying manually, I realised the bills were being paid for by over £200 worth of credit. I have no idea why I have this credit, I've never overpaid sky, I've only paid for the initial bill and I paid the correct amount. I'm confused as to wether this is money they owe me or money I owe them and am afraid of getting billed for this when I've got no clue where it's come from! We are a flat of four and did set up the wifi with a referral from one of the flat mates mum, but I think our reward for that was some kind of coupon, I didn't see anything about getting this much moneys worth of credit! If anyone knows where this money has come from and wether or not it's a mistake I would be very grateful!!

Was there a significant delay in activation?

Re: Sky credit paying for wifi, no idea where it has come from
@TimmyBGood if activation is the time between us purchasing the wifi/ organising the set up and the set up itself then yes! Our initial appointment to have the wifi installed was June 3rd and then it was cancelled and reorganised for the next available slot which wasn't until 22nd of July!

@OliviaW2 the above delay you had is the reason for the credit as way of automatic compensation
the credit will continue to be used to pay the bills and the direct debit will kick in once all the credit has been absorbed
details of the automatic compensation can be found on the link below

Delayed provisioning compensation at £6.10 per day for nearly seven weeks would be quite a substantial credit: something like £260 in total ; )
