No Internet due to outage

Our broadband has been down all day due to an outage in the area. My daughter works from home and has loads of meetings so I don't how she's going to get any work done. It's ridiculous that there hasn't been any contact by Sky at all. Not been able to watch anything on Netflix or Prime so I hope Sky is going to reimburse it's customers for paying for a service which they haven't received!!!! Maybe it's time to change providers!

@Futs to add you will find that all providers of domestic services have very similar terms and conditions. If you daughter needs a better service you need to upgrade to a business service which will cost significantly more but have faster fault fixing.

@Futs

Sky doesn't contact individual customers when there's an outage. They may not even know there is one if no one has reported it yet. You need to report it to Sky if it's still down this morning. Openreach give a 2 day target fix time for domestic connections and there is no priority service for people wfh.

This link outlines auto compensation for when there is a total loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full working days from when you first report the fault to Sky, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your account.
