New sky broadband won't connect to the Internet

I have previously got the vodafone mifi. Niw i got the new sky fttc broadband. I have one master socket with on entry port. I used the gray cable, white end into the master socket and the purple end into the sky router but the only lights that turn on are the power and wifi, internet remains dark. Sky werent able to help on the phone. they opened a case report i believe. Any ideas? what else should i do? case report is 

CRF9587933. Im well past the activation date which was last week.

Now the orange interne light flashes but not green and still no intenet, sky weren't able to help on the phone.
