Hi guys,
appreciate that there are lots of post re people asking for help re routers but I've also seen that I shouldn't piggy back off another thread and should start my own.
essentially I've just upgraded to Sky Gigafast and want to make sure I'm making the most out off my new service.
im not completely happy with my current Sky router so looking for an upgrade.
the number of devices at home is forever increasing (phones/tablets/gaming consoles/smart TVs/Sonos systems etc) so I want to make sure everything works as it should on the best possible signal. I don't have any use for the land line/calls so understand this should make things easier?
I have have X2 Sky Stream pucks both of which are hardwired, ideally I'd like the Kitchen puck to run from WiFi however the current router doesn't make this possible.
it seems Asus is the way to go but is there a recommended one?
Ideally a plug and play option would be perfect but understand I will need to do some tinkering with settings but the easiest to work the better.
any help will be much appreciated

E.G.
- Do you want WiFi 6, 6e or 7?
- Is it going to be used for a lot of gaming?
- Do you want QoS?
- Will you be running a VPN?
Might be easier if you research some of the available Asus models then come back here and let us know one or two and we can assist with the method of connecting it to your Sky line.

Thanks for your response,
I just assumed WiFi was WiFi tbh, no idea re 6/6e/7. Been with Sky for Broadband for ages but with the upgrade from Ultra fast to Giga thought I'd look into.
most of my gaming is PS5 (COD/GT7) so needs to be stable as possible.
No idea what QoS is and no no VPN use.
i dont have a laptop so use is just basic use via the standard devices as mentioned above. I'm really not technical so not trying to make things complicated for myself!

Any of the Asus RT-AX series should do the job. Have a look at them on the Asus website and see if you like the look/price of any

Well looking at them not that I know what I'm looking at this one looks decent with good reviews RT-AX82U.
not sure I need to go higher spec as this would provide an upgrade over the Sky Hub?
