New router & booster

Had a new router supplied in February have experienced slow connection. Had an engineer from BT confirmed the supply was ok to the house. New booster supplied this week. It will not connect to the router. On my Sky app it has being trying to register the router before the booster will operate. Rebooted several times even replaced the My Sky app and tried again. The app will not recognise the router.
