New laptop wont connect to WiFi Extender

I have a wifi Sky extender to boost the signal upstairs  in my house which works great with multiple devices, apart from with a brand new Acer swift i7 laptop which refuses to recognise the extender and as a result has a very weak/ intermittant connection to my hub downstairs.

Can anyone advise please ?

What extender are you using? If its a Sky one the SSID should be the same as your hub and devices would automatically roam.
