New hub

Hi,

I recently upgraded to a new internet hub, and I was informed that a landline connection is no longer required for its operation.

Since I do not use my current landline for any other purpose, I would like to request a review of my current subscription. Please let me know if it is possible to remove the landline service and adjust my monthly charges accordingly, as I no longer need this feature.

Finally, could you advise on the proper procedure for disposing of or returning the old hub equipment?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
Proscovia Kasozi

@Proscovia

Terrestrial broadband requires either a copper phone pair or optical fibre circuit as a data bearer.  The rental cost of this is included in the broadband subscription and cannot be removed.

The bundled Sky Talk 'Pay as you Talk' voice service has no additional cost if outbound calls are not being made.

@Proscovia

You are not talking to Sky here as we are customers who help each other.

All broadband packages include Sky Talk so if you do not plan to make any landline calls then contact Sky to change you to the pay as you talk package if you are not already on it so no calls made means no charge.

This link explains the return process:

Add a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment you have included.
Make sure you get and keep proof of posting when sending this off
