Am on holiday when my new hub is being activated. Can I plug hub in day before and just leave it ?

@Teri  Are you chaning providers or are you already with Sky? We need a little more information.

@Teri  Do you have broadband at present in the property? Or is this a new property you are moving into and just waiting to connect your broadband?

@TeriTake it that you will loose your present ISP the day before you go away and this is why you want to install your new broadband hub?

Re: New hub

I'm presuming our old provider will switch off our broadband so Sky can connect.

I think we are going to connect everything up the day before the  switch and just leave sky to connect remotely

@Teri  All of this is done by Openreach the network provider for the ISPs. You might even see that you have lost service the day before so would be okay to connect the Sky router and let it get the remote connection when connected.
