Re: New free sky hub
The free replacement hubs being discussed here are for the outdated Sky Q hubs which will not receive any security updates from December 2025. Those customers affected are receiving emails or letters explaining how to get a replacement. I presume these are being sent out in batches to control the outgoing flow of devices.
If you haven't had such a notification from Sky then it doesn't apply to you.

Re: New free sky hub
I have an old sky hub, I have had no email or warning about the December 2025 security ending?

Re: New free sky hub

Re: New free sky hub
Sky Broadband has a list of millions of subscribers to work through. 'Security' isn't 'ending' and the hardware will continue to function as it does now: it's an artificial date to motivate customers to respond because ISPs are required by UK law to attempt to get older routers (which don't have complex administrator passwords) off the national network.
