New customer very disappointed.

Engineer left after installation. First puck attached in lounge of a small semi detached house. No wifi signal. Sons laptop 5m away from router and virtually no WiFi signal.. He is a gamer and gets nothing but buffering signals. none of our 3 mobile phones can get a WiFi signal. No Amazon Alexa no Hive the last goes on and on. Moved router around the office still the same. Any help appreciated.

@Grahamto pretty unusual unless your semi has solid internal walls which will inevitably reduce the WiFi signal in other rooms. Make sure the hub is on a surface in the open as things like radiators can block the signal completly. Beyond that talk to Sky about getting an extender but if your home is seriously WiFi unfriendly which some properties especially those built over a 100 years ago can be you are going to have to consider other technology. Running ethernet cables to areas without usable WiFi or using technology like powerline networking are possibilities
