New WiFi is poor

I've recently switched to Sky Broadband, with higher promised speeds that I've had before with BT or Virgin. However, the signal is very poor and it can't even manage to play programmes on iPlayer without stopping and starting all the time. I have TP-link booster which has been effective in the past, but even that doesn't resolve it. I've tried to contact Sky on Chat and on the Phone but can't manage to get to speak to anyone! Any suggestions!?
