New Sky router doesn't work, old Now one does

New Sky broadband due to go live today.  Text received stating it is now active, but when I connect the new 4.2 router the orange broadband light stays illuminated.  Plug the old Now router in, broadband works.

 

Any suggestions?

Is the old router from a different supplier, if so the activation might not have happened yet as this can take place at anytime up to and sometimes beyond midnight.

Hi, thanks for that.  It's an old NOW router that's currently working, and I'm assuming the text received this morning means my Sky service is active.

 

"Hi. Great news, your Sky Broadband is now active. To find out how to set up your hub go to sky.com/hubsetup. For the best performance we'll test your line for 10 days. Go to sky.com/speeds for more info"

 

It's not been a brilliant transfer as I was initially told the wrong router had been sent.

You might need to call them about this so they can check to see if it has taken place.
