New Sky hub 4.2

Hi, hoping someone can help out. I recently received a new Sky Broadband hub 4.2 as I had the older Sky Q hub and that's no longer covered by security.

the hub has been set up a couple of weeks and all fine. Just recently I have had problems with my Ring front door bell going offline. I think this is down the Wifi as I've not had any problems with the doorbell previously.

I am aware of issues with Ring and the WiFi signal having to be on 2.4Ghz. I have split the WiFi signal on the hub now but this doesn't seem to have helped and the doorbell still drops offline.

would appreciate any advise or guidance.

thanks

@CraigT81 you do not need to split bands for Ring devices unless they are quite old as the current connect to a dualband SSID.

Check thst the new hub is in the best position it can be which is out in the open on a surfacecso its above obstructions like radiators etc. Using a laptop or phone download a WiFi Analyzer app which shows the wifi signals in range and check thecarea near the doorbell to see which 2.4GHz WiFi channel is the least used. Two WiFi signals onntge same or adajacent channels will interfere which could be the issue. You can manually set the channel your new hub uses in the 2.4GHz band. The hub chooses the least congested where it is when rebooted which maybe great in your home but less good outside where the doorbell is.
