I've had no end of problems since this new white Sky Max Hub was installed on Thursday. I'm seriously thinking of cancelling my contract. I have been on the phone to Sky twice. First time with Joshua who was very helpful over 40 minutes and went above and beyond and second time with a guy who was actually pretty dismissive and told me to ring Tapo. I have C110 and C211 cameras and a L530 bulb. 7 hours I spent on Thursday trying to get these back on and working and finally AI came up with an answer which worked BUT now my cameras are off and my bulb won't work properly. On Thursday, Joshua turned my internet to 2.4ghz and it was showing as that on my phone. He did this because the toggles on MySky app wouldn't stay put, the 5ghz just kept going back on. It's now showing as 5ghz on my phone (which I cannot change, my phone doesn't allow it), and the method I used to get my cameras working now won't work. The MySky app is now showing that 5ghz is off on the toggle and that won't change back either by toggling. I am at my wits end tbh. I also can't get WiFi in my garden which is tiny and is now more than 3 meters from the house. I have a tiny house. Never had any of these problems with my previous black hub. Just really fed up and feeling that this upgrade was one huge mistake.

So, I had an engineer come out and he brought a new Sky Max Hub and installed it. He also connected all my cameras. My issue was resolved by the Executive Team via Sky on Facebook. I've needed to reboot one camera since and it reconnected properly with no problem. Something wrong with the Firmware and back end with mine.

Re: New Sky Max Hub and Problems Setting up Tapo Camera and Light Bulb
@Ilo1 When you were working with Sky, did they get you to reduce the WiFi security from the default WPA3 to WPA2-PSK?
A quick Google suggests the cameras do not natively support WPA3.

Is it possible the info in this thread is correct and there is an option to use Ethernet for initial connection?

Oh I see the link within your message. Don't understand how that would help or even how to connect or do it. Don't have an ethernet cable either.

Yes.
That thread is someone else who had similar issues with Tapo kit and the Sky Max Hub, but say they resolved it by using Ethernet for initial set up.
I don't use Tapo or the Sky Max Hub, so have no idea if the answer would work for you.

Re: New Sky Max Hub and Problems Setting up Tapo Camera and Light Bulb
Getting a new Sky Max Hub sent out apparently. I've plugged in my SR203 hub instead, it works fine. Tapo cameras all linked fine. Really not impressed with the Sky Max Hub. The app doesn't work with it correctly.

Re: New Sky Max Hub and Problems Setting up Tapo Camera and Light Bulb
@Ilo1 if the cameras connect to the old hub simply change the SSID and WiFi password on the new hub w hen it arrives to mstch the SR203 and then they should connect.

Re: New Sky Max Hub and Problems Setting up Tapo Camera and Light Bulb
@Ilo1 - I am having the exact same issues. I have just come from EE, which was the most basic and slowest internet they had (didn't know that at the time) and last night my new white Max Hub was installed. I have three Tapo C260 camera's in the house, all less than a year old, and all three of them are having none of it. They connect to the wi-fi, they can identify it, but they keep saying that the signal is too weak (of of the camera's is half a meter from the hub) and all of them refuse to show you any live image, anything at all. I am on the Sky BB package that is just one down from the top of the range, so its definately not a weak signal, but the Tapo camera's just cannot seem to interface correctly with the wifi from this new hub. I have done everything listed on this thread, and moved by hub to four different places, cannot get them to work now at all.

Re: New Sky Max Hub and Problems Setting up Tapo Camera and Light Bulb
Same issue with tapo c260 camera.. have a tapo doorbell working ok, just can't get the c260 to work and seems really difficult to change any settings via Sky to troubleshoot..
