New Fibre Broadband - Installation

Looking for some help if possible.

I am still on Superfast broadband although at my last renewal I went to move to Fibre which all went fine until the engineer turned up to do the final stage of the job leading to me having to cancel job and remain on superfast.

My entry point is beside my front door but there isn't much room there for the router to be placed (plus I have a Hive which needs ethernet connection to hub so needs to be attached to router) so we agreed best place for router was in room on first floor of my house - I've also seen neighbours with same style of house do this.

My house facade is white and given my hub would be on the first floor it would have meant running some cable up the outside of my house. I had no issue with this however the engineer advised me he only had black cable to do the job and no white cable. I am a bit house proud so wasn't wanting to have black cable running over front of my white house front - the engineer understood my point of view - which led to me not proceeding.

Anyway, I am now up for renewal again and wondered if anyone has had any similar issues with the cable colouring but were able to resolve in some way by getting the colour they needed...or if Sky can somehow help with to allow me to move to Fibre (which I would prefer to do)  ?

@Graeme+McL Afraid the External Fibre cable is Black, the ONT position internal requires really only a Fibre / Power connection, from that point internally to the sky Hub the connection to work is just a standard Ethernet cable, so it that possible to be done to move it where more suited and cable route, Ethernet cables are in the many/many different colours available to be purchased, clipping cables may not be though but have seen white or black or brown there may be others!

@Graeme+McL  As far as I'm aware OpenReach only use Black Fibre cable outside the home.

@Graeme+McL

If white optical pigtail cable isn't available then no, that's not going to be possible.
