Thanks @cookiemonsteruk for putting up with me now this is the odd thing I've played around and here the issue I found, so the Asus XT12 is now working however on the setting when I do the vlan to manual and add 101 to the internet bit then I save it ASus reboots ans then there no connection, when I revert it back to non the. I get connection, odd I know so dose that mean there an issue somewhere? I havant set the second node (asus xt number 2 as yet, but not sure why it don't work when I do the vlan thing 🤔 I will post the current set up in a second

I am double checking the client identifier (option 61). It must be in the format of
anything@skydsl|anything
Or else it won't authenticate. Where the | or pipe symbol is a seperator between the anything@dsl username and the anything password .

@Magicmart For info, I get a quicker authentication on sky's servers by setting the vlan 101 tag on the tp-link.
even then it can take up to 10 to 15 mins if it's hooked up after the sky router has been running on the line.
Tom...

so that I'm clear I need to go back to this page and put anything@skydsl|anything right ? Then what do I need to do ? About the vlan ? As I did the 101 bit I believe on the w9970 as per next picture

Change the client identifier to the one above and the vlan id of 101 needs to be on both the tp link and as shown n the asus as well

Also the isp list on the tp link should be sky vdsl . Not sky(mer)vdsl

Ok so from that picture it's right on the tplink? So if I change the client identifier to exactly how u put it will that then allow me to do the vlan 101 on the ASUs without it then stopping the router from connecting to internet?, its currently working but I'm guessing doing that will get the best out of it, @cookiemonsteruk ur have to give me ur Pay pal once this is sorted I sort u a beer out
28 Nov 2022 10:40 PM
Oh I'm sure I read it had to be mer somwhere
28 Nov 2022 10:41 PM
When I added it to ASUS it stopped it all working out

Sky mer is done by the asus router not the tp link so its sky vdsl
Also in the tp link image where it says internet connection type that should be set to bridge
