Can I ask what mesh system ur going for then if that ok

@Magicmart if you look at page 2/3 i have the ASUS XT12. I basically get my full gigabit speed over wifi which is outstanding! So FTTC speeds would be easy for it. & coverage is impressive.
if you want something cheaper may want to look at the ASUS XT9.

Thanks everyone I've bitten the bullet with the recommendation of the xt12 mesh system will the w9977 be ok as a modem to run to the xt12 as it's only 300mbps ans no gigbit ports?
so am I right if I go ahead with this I run a ethernet. Between the w9970 to the first xt12 (which will be the main router and Wi-Fi and then link that to the 2nd xt12 upstairs and then bingo ?

The maximum speed of superfast fttc is 80Mbs so that is not an issue. Also the td w9970 doesn't need to have gigabit ports but when fttp does arrive you'll be ditching anyway and the asus does have gigabit ethernet ports

Thanks all sorry to ask 101 questions all ordered now so when it comes w9970 will go to modem mode right then run an ethernect to the XT12 and that's basically it ?

If you follow my previous link to setting up the tp link as a modem there will still be things to enter on the asus that authenticate with sky servers. Probably best left until you receive both equipment

First of all update asus firmware sequentially until it doesn't update anymore whilst etherneted to the sky hub
Remove sky hub and set up the tp link as modem bridge.
Plug asus into the tp link. The ethernet goes from an orange lan ethernet port on the tp link to the blue wan port on the asus (if you have a twin pack it doesn't matter which one you choose as the main router)
On the wan screen of the asus locate client identifies (option 61) and enter something like
anything@skydsl|anything
Next you would need to go to the lan screen on the asus and then to iptv along the top and set up vlan id in the internet to 101 using custom or manual settings . After a few minutes it should connect 🤞

You login to the asus routers ip. you need to connect to the asus wifi signal it gives off.
