I had a detailed discussion with Netgear support. They assured it works with Ont bypassing sky. All I need is some pppoe specific to end user login and password. And sky support is adamant they have no idea or access to this info. Feeling bit under pressure to use sky. Thinking of switching over to Youfiber as they have assured I can use mine instead of their eero.

Netgear support is wrong Sky domestic broadband exchanges do not use PPPoE only DHCPv4 Option 61 and DHCPv6 PD.

Correct and my findings confirm this. On page 28 of the RAX70 manual it states Opt61 but in the RAXE300 manual only the reference to PPPoE exists...

How RAX70 is different form RAXE300 ? Is your RAX70 connected direct to ONT ?

Superfast fttc also uses the same option....
