What I did when ONT was installed was to get Sky to run a long cable so my router could be located in the Hall from where the WiFi has better coverage aroun the house.
You could try getting Sky/Openreach to do something similar or you could just buy a long network cable and fit it yourself.
I doubt very much that the ONT can be moved.

Typically neither Openreach or an ISP will do ethernet cabling like that: it's a DIY job.
ONTs can be relocated by re-splicing a replacement pigtail at the CSP (which is why the junction is there) but isn't a trivial task.

Well Openreach did a 5 mm Meter Ethernet cable run for me without question.

To clarify, I am not suggesting moving the ONT. The connection from the ONT to the Router is a standard network cable.
So you can leave the ONT where it is and put the Router in (say) the next room connected by a longer network cable.
You could buy a network cable the length needed and terminate the ends with a plug but for most people that is hard.
However you can buy a long enough cable e.g. search Amazon for "network cable 15m".
