NAS using SSD

Is it possible to connect a USB-C SSD to the router using an USB-C to RJ45 male plug, so the SSD can be used as a NAS.

I have 2TB SanDisk SSD which is USB-C. I have a USB-C to RJ45 cable. Plug cable into available ethernet port on router and nothing. When the old routers had USB capability, it was almost plug and play, now however, using RUN  \\default Gateway address, access is denied. And lookig through the Router options under Admin, it's really not clear.  Any assistance would be very welcome.

To answer your question, no you can't connect a SSD drive using USB as the hubs don't act as NAS Servers,  you'll need to setup your nas using a proper NAS server/unit over your home network.

I would read up how to setup a NAS server if you've not already done so.

But normally at the least you'd need a NAS server to add your SSD to.

No: those devices are entirely bogus unless they contain their own NAS chipset.

Note that while the Max Hub has a USB port, this is only for power supply in EU countries which mandate it: the Hub operating system cannot address a data storage device or a printer plugged in there.
