My ONT power cable is missing

Just moved into a new property and my ONT power cable is not here. How do I get a replacement?

The problem isn't as simple as sending you a ont power cable.

As far as I'm aware, there have been 3 different ont's used, all with different power cables. 2 of them are not used anymore.

So the openreach engineer will have to replace the ont with the current Nokia version.

Yeah I've just rung sky and there's nothing they can do until the connection is live ... then they will send an engineer out to sort it ... so that's over 2 weeks away before the connection is sorted and then I'll have to wait for an engineer.... frustrating

The other option is to buy a Nokia ont off eBay, and fit it yourself.

@HiHowAreYaThen how do you register it as that is what the engineer does as part of the install process.

Yeah, your right. Forgot the engineer has to register the ont. Rob200 needs to identify what ont he has, and the buy the right ont power supply of eBay.

@HiHowAreYa  Why buy it when you can get Openreach to come out and replace it at no cost to yourself.

Because Rob stated his Sky broadband is due to go live on the 15th August,

Sky have told him they can't request a openreach visit until after his connection goes live.

Rob stated openreach visit would be 2 weeks after.

Hence why I'm trying to help him get one sooner.

@HiHowAreYaNormally when there is a missing power unit for the ONT it is acted on quickly.
