Much slower

The past few months are connection seems to be getting worse and worse. Now it is so bad, that trying to watch something simple like BBC Iplayer is impossible because it is continually buffering. The sky box is also working extremely slow as a result and take a long time to load. Our connections on our phones are also bad and the WiFi on them drops out a lot, I mainly noticed when all my data on my sky mobile was being consumed! I've tested the WiFi as it suggests on the app and everything says its fine, but it really isn't fine! Help!
