I'm moving my Broadband from sky to Vodafone full fibre. The switching date was to be March 25th but it seems this will be delayed as Openreach need longer to do the fibre connection. I have now been told it could even be end of May. Will I continue to have broadband and phone line from Sky until then or do I have to arrange this separately with Sky?
thanks

Vodaphone should take care of the switch for you

What connection do you have at the minute superfast fttc or ultrafast fttp?
It would be unusual that vodafone would require any work to be done unless they are using city fibre or you were on sky superfast and now ultrafast is available

Super fast going to full fibre. They are using Openreach to connect me to full fibre but it seems they have to dig up the footpath connect me to the nearest connection point.

And local councils can take 4 weeks to grant planning permission which may put back the fibre install. You should retain you sky up until they eventually get permissions (hopefully)

Thanks - will it happen automatically or will I need to contact Sky?

Strictly speaking it's not 'planning permission': Openreach has statutory rights. The Local Authority does require standard notification and acknowledgement of 'intent to dig' though, as does the local electricity network provider if there are streetlamps in the vicinity.
